Kuching, Sarawak
Getting there
Everything you need to find us, and not much you don’t.
Getting to the venue
The Old Court House is on the waterfront in the old town, on Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, opposite the Sarawak River. Every Grab driver and taxi in the city knows it by name.
Parking
There’s parking along the waterfront and at Plaza Merdeka, a couple of minutes’ walk away. It fills up in the evening, so if you’d rather not think about it, a Grab there and back is the easy answer — and it means you can have a drink.
When to arrive
Come in the late afternoon. We’ll confirm the time on this page and by email once the venue has fixed it. There’s no need to be early — there’ll be a drink waiting on the veranda.

Somewhere to stay
If you need a room
Mostly for those coming from further afield, but useful if you’d rather not drive home. There are plenty of hotels within a short walk of the venue, and a few more a couple of minutes away by Grab.
Coming soon
We’re still talking to a few of them about rates. Once that’s settled the details will go here.
Coming from the UK
A few of you are making the long trip. There’s no direct flight — it’s London to Kuala Lumpur or Singapore, then a connection into Kuching of just under two hours. Door to door, usually 18 to 22 hours. Malaysia is eight hours ahead, so give yourself a day to come round before the wedding.
One thing that catches people out: Sarawak runs its own immigration control, so you’ll queue at immigration again on landing in Kuching even though you’ve already entered Malaysia.
If you’re coming a long way and want to line your flights up with someone else, email wedding@jeffandphoebe.com and we’ll put you in touch.
